Training Academy

X-treme Security believes that training is the most important defense against unfavorable outcomes.  Proper education and preparation protects the patrons, our clients, the guards themselves, and the company at large.  We will always endeavor to find the right person, with the appropriate skills, and training, for every job.

All our employees are instructed in public relations instruction which includes but is not limited to recognizing gender and racial harassment and discrimination, as well as respecting individual sensitivities which include recognizing substance abuse and mental illnesses.  They are taught how to use verbal skills to intervene and deescalate situations as well as achieve peaceful conflict resolution.  They consider both person and property when considering outcome and options.  All guards are also required to comply with company ethics & professionalism guides which outlines their appearance, onsite presence, and proper conduct, at all times.

Whether they are carrying handcuffs, batons, pepper spray, stun guns, air tasers or firearms –  they will be properly trained and tested to ensure the highest safety of the public and themselves.  All guards that carry weapons are required to complete the accompanying certification.

X-treme Security familiarizes and instructs each of their security professionals with a breadth of legal information.  This includes, but is not limited to techniques, potential liability, and company requirements relating to the arrest of an individual making sure that every employee clearly understands the definition of arrest and the implications to the subject for both the guard and the client.  All are required to attend a combined lecture/discussion on escalation and de-escalation techniques in the use of force.  They are trained in the use of restraint techniques and educated as to the responsibilities and implications of enforcing laws and company policies.

Our protection personnel have been instructed in the various interaction techniques with first responders, medical personnel, law enforcement and a variety of government services.  We can also provide guards that have been given additional course training in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) & Terrorism Awareness which familiarizes the individual on precursor activities to a terrorist event, how to react appropriately, and remain safe while helping control the scene if there are venues that require it.

Many of our guards speak multiple languages and understand the significance of clear and concise communication – whether it be in written form, on the radio, or in person.  Additionally, depending on the situation, we can provide guards that have fire safety, first aid/CPR, chemical agents or crowd control training, upon request.
